SEWING SLEEVEBOARD COVERS - SIMPLE?

We have been covering ironing boards and sleeve boards for over 15 years. Like the old Virginia Slim slogan, "You've come a long way baby", ironing boards have come a long way and evolved since they were first invented. HOWEVER (in caps on purpose) folks hang on to those trusty old boards, many which are made out of wood and built into cabinets or walls in older homes. Also people purchase vintage boards at flea markets or garage sales. So you ask, what does this have to do with the image? It is a sleeve board cover, designed and customized by my sister Barb, who studies photos and tracings sent into us by our customers who want to cover their beloved sleeve board. Not only does she design sleeve boards like this, she also designs covers to fit old boards, which usually have hinges or other connecting pieces that prevent a cover from wrapping all around the board.

Many sellers offer replacement ironing board covers; normally generic in nature and made with thinner, quilting, 4oz cotton. We offer covers, crafted from 7-8oz premium cotton that are totally customized to fit your board. Barb has not turned away any customers, even though sometimes it takes hours to figure out how to get a cover to stay put. And, though our seamstresses are very talented, she sews almost all of these covers herself just to make certain the finished cover is going to work as she designed it to.

Whether you have a modern, metal mesh board, or an old, one-of-a-kind vintage board, you can trust that we will provide you with the very best options to cover your board and/or your sleeve board.
