Shop At Clares LLC was established in 1994 (by sisters whose last name just happens to be Clare) as a small retail store in the PA Dutch country of Eastern Pennsylvania. We started the business with the hopes of being able to supplement our retirement income when we we did retire. Well,  our real world jobs (of CPA and Teacher) are now part of our past, but the notion of retirement income and of being retired is nothing but a distant fantasy. How fortunate we are though, that we absolutely love the e-commerce world and our popular, small-town store.

Although we are not a big box company, we are a big-hearted company.  We work closely with all of our customers and work closely with all of our suppliers, not only the larger ones, but especially the smaller ones. We love working with local manufacturers and suppliers, so you will find some great deals on our site!
