| ITEM DESCRIPTION |
Our Christmas Nativity Brass 8-Piece Set Lost Wax Casting (Ghana) - Bamboula #NATG01 is an ethnic and beautiful way to honor the birth of Jesus. These eight pieces were created by artisans in Ghana using the lost wax casting technique. This technique has been used for thousands of years to produce objects in metal which could not be produced any other way, because of the complexity of their form. The artisans make individual wax shapes and cover each one with a mold, then simultaneously melt the wax and replace it with brass. Variations in color of the metal are normal with these hand-crafted figurines. The tallest figure is 3.25 inches high.
Your purchase contributes to the social well being of African artisans and their families. Most who use the money they earn from Bamboula for basic needs such as food, clothing, housing, education, and medical services. Your purchase is important-50% of Africans live on less than $1.00 a day. Not only do you get a great product, but you are also helping a country climb out of poverty!... |
